Three Things to Get Right

Match cert to product category

An LED bulb needs UL/ETL + FCC. A children's toy needs CPSC + CPC. A Bluetooth speaker adds BQB. Always map your product to the agency before sourcing.

Plan for testing lead time

Lab testing and certification can take 4–12 weeks depending on category. Start before tooling, not before shipping.

Keep documents shipment-ready

U.S. Customs, Amazon, and big-box retailers may all request the original certificate. Keep PDFs accessible alongside packing lists and BOLs.
