Most of the world tilts slightly female — across Europe, Russia, the Americas, most of Africa and Australia, women outnumber men. The clear exception is a male-majority belt through China and the Gulf (UAE, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait). In the Gulf it largely reflects a young male migrant workforce; in China, a long legacy of son preference.
Sex ratio quietly shapes consumer demand. The female-majority markets Cube-Age serves across the Americas skew household, home and family purchasing — home décor, furniture, everyday goods. The male-heavy Gulf, dense with migrant labor and construction, tilts toward tools, workwear, packaging and jobsite supply — an export lane where Houston’s port and a China-side desk line up neatly. Pair with global population 2025–2050 (atlas-c8), U.S. consumer demographics (atlas-c86), and the U.S. market overview.
