America's Great Reshuffle · 2025 State Migration

Between July 2024 and July 2025 the U.S. state map kept redrawing itself. North Carolina (+84K), Texas (+67K) and South Carolina (+67K) topped the gainers list. California (-229K) and New York (-138K) again led the losses. Texas and Florida are still growing, but at a slower pace than their 2022 peaks.

Why this matters for B2B

Migration reshapes the wholesale demand map. NC, TX, SC, TN, GA keep pulling residents in — that is where new suburbs, retail buildouts and warehouse expansions are happening. CA and NY still hold huge population bases, but the net outflow shifts distribution priorities. Cube-Age is Houston-based; Texas' +67K net gain sits at the center of our Americas fulfillment footprint. Pair with state manufacturing dependency (c89) and housing cost by state (c85).
