Facebook is still #1 at 3.1B monthly users — about 40% of humanity — with sister apps WhatsApp and Instagram at ~3B each and YouTube at 2.5B. Meta also runs Messenger (1B) and Threads (400M), its answer to X (~650M). Most top platforms are historically American, but Chinese firms are closing fast: Tencent's WeChat (1.4B) is an all-in-one for messaging, payments, shopping and games, and ByteDance's Douyin (755M) plus TikTok (2B) reshaped global social. Reddit (850M) and Snapchat (900M) round out the field.
For cross-border B2B, these platforms are the two ends of the deal. On the U.S. side, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok are where American buyers discover products and where a wholesaler builds catalog reach and social proof. On the China side, WeChat (1.4B) is the operating system of supplier relationships — quoting, samples and payments all run through it. Cube-Age's China↔U.S. bridge lives across exactly this split.
