Kites, Built to Our Own Spec

Thirty-one designs across seven shapes — diamond, delta, shaped character, soft-body parafoil and 3D inflatable. Polyester sail, fiberglass frame. Printed, cut, hot-knife sealed and sewn for us at our partner factory in China, then loaded by the container for Houston. The contract is signed; we are finalizing the product details, branding and packaging before the first container ships.

How these kites are made

Seven stations, one line, under one roof. These are photographs from the factory that builds our range — not stock images.

Step 01

Design & layout

Each design is laid out panel by panel and nested onto the roll width before anything is printed.

Step 02

Digital printing

Artwork is printed straight onto the polyester on a wide-format digital line — full colour, edge to edge.

Printed kite fabric spread and aligned on the cutting table
Step 03

Lay-up

Printed lengths are spread and squared on the table so every panel comes off the roll in register.

Step 04

Hot-knife cutting

A heated blade cuts and seals in the same pass, so the polyester edge is closed and will not fray in the wind.

Step 05

Sewing line

Hems, spar sleeves and bridle points are stitched and reinforced — the parts that take the load in flight.

Step 06

Assembly

Fiberglass spars, bridle and tail go in, the kite is checked, folded and bagged.

One line, start to finish

Design, print, cut, sew and pack all sit in the same building — which is why a change to a design does not have to travel between three suppliers before it reaches the sample.

Two short films

One from inside the factory, one from the field. Shot vertical — the same clips we use on social.

Inside the factory

Design and digital print, cutting and hot-knife sealing, the sewing line, then packing, loading and the wall already hanging in Houston.

Packed and loaded

Finished kites are folded, bagged and cartoned at the factory, then taken straight from the packing bay to the container — no intermediate warehouse, no repacking.

Carton counts, carton weight and loading plan are being fixed together with the packaging design. We will publish them here as soon as they are confirmed.
