GULFTEX is a Texas company running its own plant in Asia. We carry the line in Houston — two 6 ft by 8 ft panel sizes are in our warehouse now, and the rest of the twelve ranges is quoted to order. Pre-galvanized steel, with a cathodic e-coat under the powder topcoat.

These two are not catalogue pictures. They are our own pallets at 9500 W Sam Houston Pkwy S, photographed where they stand. Come and look at them, or collect them the same day. The rest of the twelve ranges is quoted to order.

The heavier of the two. Thicker wall on both the rails and the pickets, which is what you want on a run that takes wind or a gate that gets used every day.

The lighter build, and the one most residential jobs are priced on. Same finish and same spear top, less steel in the section.
Photographed in the Cube-Age warehouse, Houston, October 2026. Dimensions as marked on the pallets.
That is the supplier’s figure for inland Texas exposure, and it rests on one extra step most powder-coated fence skips: a cathodic e-coat under the colour. Every powder-coated fence looks the same on day one. What separates them is what sits under the paint, and whether the coating reached the corners a spray gun cannot.

ASTM A653 G60 pre-galvanized steel — about 180 g/m² of zinc spread across both faces. The zinc is the part that keeps working after the paint is scratched.
After a nano-ceramic pre-treatment the panel is dipped and charged, so the film is deposited electrically rather than sprayed. It reaches inside corners, weld joints and the back faces of pickets, which is where a sprayed-only fence starts rusting first.
Outdoor-grade polyester powder with UV inhibitors, cured on top of the e-coat. Tested to ASTM B117 salt spray at 1,200 hours or more with no red rust.
G60 is a comparatively thin zinc layer, and salt eats it faster. The brand rates the standard build at 15 to 20 years inland and 6 to 10 years in high-salt coastal exposure, and offers a G90 substrate — 275 g/m² — that takes the coastal figure to 12 to 16 years. If the job is close to the water, ask for G90 at quote stage rather than after.
Dropping to 10–15 years in an urban or light industrial setting and 6–10 within reach of salt air. Salt spray to ASTM B117 at 1,200 hours or more with no red rust.
The supplier rates the three-layer system at 1.8 to 2.3 times the protection of single galvanizing or powder coat on its own. Divide the inland figure by that and you get this band — which is the gap you are actually buying, and the point at which a fence starts needing paint.
Service life, salt-spray result and the 1.8–2.3× multiplier are all GULFTEX’s own published figures. The 7–11 year band is arithmetic on that multiplier, not an independent test, and no figure here is a written warranty — ask us for one before you specify.
These are powder-coat-only panels from other brands that we keep on hand for comparison. They have never been in the ground — they are stacked indoors in Houston, still in their cardboard. The rust is at the picket joints and the cut ends, which is precisely where a sprayed coating stops and a dipped one does not. We are not naming the maker; the point is the mechanism, and it is the same on any panel finished this way.

Rust bleeding out of every joint. The gun never reached inside the punched hole, so there was nothing on that surface to start with.

A ring of rust right around the cut. Every panel has these, and a sprayed finish has no way of covering them.

Bare mill surface the whole way down. A dipped panel carries film on this face too; a sprayed one never does.

Not a weathered fence. New panels, indoors, in their packaging — and the rails are already going at the joints.
Photographed by Cube-Age in Houston, October 2026, on comparison samples held in our own warehouse. No brand marks appear in any of these frames and none is identified.
Most ranges come as two-rail and three-rail panels with matching walk gates at 3 to 6 ft and drive gates at 12 to 18 ft. Panel heights run 4 to 8 ft, custom heights on request. Posts and hardware are quoted separately from the panels.

The classic spear-top picket, in two-rail and three-rail panels.

Spear top, clean bottom rail. Sits better on level ground.

Flush picket tops — the quiet option for front yards and pools.

Flat at both ends, so the panel reads as a frame rather than a fence.

Bowed picket tops. Usually specified on commercial perimeters.

Wide slats, spacing from flush to 1-3/16 in. Custom sizes and colors.

Angled blades, so the run reads open head-on and closed from the street.

Deck and stair railing in the same finish as the fence it meets.

Posts, caps, finials, brackets, scrolls and gate fittings.

Privacy and picket profiles in white, chocolate, army green and black.

Wood-plastic composite boards with matching fence and trim.

Scrolled gates and panels for driveway entrances and front walls.

Short videos from the brand’s own plant — the cutting bed, the dip tanks and the powder booth. They are the three stages that decide whether a panel is straight and whether the coating holds.
Rail stock is cut and slotted on a laser bed before the pickets go in, which is what keeps the picket spacing even down a long run.
Welded panels lowered down the pre-treatment and e-coat line. This is the stage a spray-only shop does not have.
Racked panels passing the electrostatic guns, on their way to the curing oven.

We mention the powder brand because it is one of the few things a buyer can check without a lab. The pre-treatment chemistry on this line is Henkel Bonderite; the topcoat powder is PPG. Neither of those is a certification, but a plant buying branded chemistry is at least not buying the cheapest drum on the dock.
Figures below are from the pressed-spear range, which is the most commonly quoted. Sections vary between ranges — ask us for the sheet that matches the one you are pricing.
